Volunteer For Us

Do you want to help others to unlock all the benefits of cycling and bikes? Volunteering with Life Cycle UK is a great way to give back to your community, whilst developing your skills, meeting new people and working with our lovely teams! We have over 100 regular volunteers and are now looking for help in the following areas:

Bike Back Bristol Volunteers - Skilled Mechanics Needed!

Are you a keen bike mechanic who loves to share their passion for bikes with others? We're looking for skilled cycle mechanics to quality check bikes at our lively workshop and/or volunteer with men in the Horfield prison and support their learning. If you enjoy working with people from all walks of life and want a chance to work on a wide range of bikes and build on your existing skills, we want to hear from you! Volunteer Bike Mechanic - helping young people in Bristol

Are you a confident and un-flappable bike mechanic with good technical knowledge? If the answer is yes, you enjoy working with young people (aged 16 +) and want to be part of a fun, supportive team, this is the role for you! Together with Life Cycle UK’s bike maintenance tutor and City of Bristol College’s Learning Assistants you will support learners with a high level of need to acquire bike maintenance skills including achieving their City & Guilds Level 1 qualification. Tandem Front Riders - “Two’s Company” - Bristol

Our Bristol-based Two’s Company project organises weekend tandem rides for visually impaired adults - and young people with visual impairments, learning difficulties or disability. Our “stokers” can’t cycle independently, but by working together with a volunteer “front rider”, they can experience the joys and freedoms of cycling in the countryside. You don’t need any tandem-riding experience: We provide the tandems, a qualified Ride Leader, and all the training you need. If you currently cycle, love meeting people and want to make a difference, click here to find out more and apply.

Volunteer at our Youth Project - Bristol

Life cycle provides weekly sessions, all year round at Bristol Adventure Playgrounds, inspiring and enabling local children to get cycling. We are seeking volunteer support for the busy sessions so we can help more children. Could you share your passion for cycling? Do you enjoy working with children? Do you love tinkering with bikes? Are you keen to develop new skills and gain experience? Could you spare a few hours a week?
