What’s it all about?

A great way to build confidence, meet new people and get out into green spaces. Our rides are led by a qualified Ride Leader and supported by friendly volunteers. We have a great selection of routes, of various lengths and difficulty – from beginners’ to advanced - in Bristol and the surrounding areas.

Who can join?

Our rides are for people over the age of 55 who want to get active or try something new, but don’t want to cycle alone or join a mainstream cycling club. If you want to improve your well-being, meet new people and enjoy the freedoms of two wheels, this group is for you.

You must be able to cycle continuously, at a gentle pace, for 20 minutes.

Beginner, or a bit wobbly?

We can help build your skills and confidence before joining our rides. Just let us know when you sign up and we’ll talk you through our support options.

What others say

“As you get older, sometimes you need a reason to get out, and once you book yourself on a ride you have that focus. Once you go out it is always the right thing to do, it is always worth it... On every physical level it is good for you – it's good for our minds and our bodies.”

Rob

“I worked for the NHS as a theatre nurse throughout the pandemic and found this the most stressful period of my entire career... The rides were a chance to take time away… To get outside and give your brain some time to slow down. The rides were a bit of a reminder that it wasn’t all bad, and that was really needed at that time.”
