Level 2 Award in Instructing Cycle Training
Who is it for?
Anyone who wishes to work as a paid cycle instructor. Our course comprehensively covers the theory and practice of teaching children and adults to ride safely on road, to the official standards set by the Department for Transport.
What does it cover?
This is a four day course that covers essential issues such as risk assessment, insurance, child protection, teaching techniques and client care. The course is taught as a mixture of classroom based theory and on the bike practical assessments. On successful completion of the course you will be provisionally accredited as a National Standard Cycling Instructor.
How do I become fully qualified?
You will become fully qualified only after completing a probationary period during which must be actively delivering Bikeability training and undertake a Post Course Assessment (PCA) where you are observed teaching. Life Cycle can arrange your PCA when you are ready. N.B. The cost of the PCA is additional to the cost of the 4-day course cost.
