Meet the Team - Elizabeth Williams
How are you connected to Life Cycle?
I am a Trustee.
What's your earliest cycling memory?
Cycling to Limeslade in Mumbles, South Wales for a picnic with a friend.
What was your first bike?
It was too big for me, but had been given to my Dad by a friend, so it was free.
What would your dream bike be?
I would love a light weight folding bike, with an electric motor that doesn't cost the earth.
What are your favourite cycling routes in Bristol/UK?
I love my cycle to work, I cycle along the side of the river Avon, below Leigh Woods and underneath Brunel's suspension bridge, it is full of amazing birds and wild flowers and is a wonderful start to the day.
How long does it take you to fix a puncture?
About an hour. The bit that takes the longest is getting the tyre back on when it's all done, especially on my Brompton, the tyres are so tight, a nightmare!
If you could wave a magic wand, and make something better about cycling, what would it be?
More separate cycle lanes in the centre of Bristol, I find sharing the main roads with cars and buses at busy times unnerving.
Who would your ideal tandem partner be?
Sarah Mowl, Chair of the Trustees as she is very fit, and also very funny and entertaining.
What's your favourite pre/post cycling food?
A bowl of chips with mayonnaise.
What's your best cycling related joke?
Q; Why couldn't Cinderella win the bicycle race?
A: She has a pumpkin for a coach
