Bike Minded volunteer shortlisted 'Green Volunteer of the Year'

Green Volunteer of the Year shortlist

Congratulations to Christophe Migne, Bike Minded volunteer, who was shortlisted for ‘Green Volunteer of the Year’ at Bristol’s Green Volunteer Awards 2012 ceremony last week.

Christophe has been volunteering with our mental well-being cycling project for over two years supporting group rides and new participants. Christophe’s friendly, supportive manner and passion for people and cycling have made him an invaluable part of Bike Minded. He is never to be seen without his trailer which he brings on even the hilliest of rides full of supplies of hot drinks and food to help give everyone what he terms the full ‘Bike Minded experience’!

Christophe has also been heavily involved in some epic fundraising adventures which have seen him cycle through the night from Bristol to Exmouth and a 2 day challenge of 176 miles taking in the Sugar Loaf mountain and an Audax event. Even losing one of his trailer wheels and having to set up camp on a wet cricket pitch near Cheddar during one such challenge has left Christophe undeterred!
