Steve Ewens-"LEJOG with my eyes shut"-SOLD OUT

Registration is closed for this event
Come along and hear an illustrated talk from Steve Ewens, blind cyclist, who cycled the length of Britain on the back of a tandem

"This all started when my brother Dave gave me two extra special Christmas presents: a pair of cycling shorts and a tube of cream to rub on sensitive areas. I had been hoping for a box of chocolates but accepted his challenge: to cycle on the back of a tandem from one end of the UK to the other."

In 2012, having not cycled for 20 years, Steve Ewens was presented with a chance invitation to try out tandem cycling with Two's Company. Fast forward 3 years and a Christmas day challenge from his brother, and Steve found himself on the back of a tandem about to embark on an epic 1040 mile Lands End to John O'Groats ride.

With only a few months in which to prepare, Steve enlisted the help of fellow Two's Company members and a turbo trainer, which he installed in his living room, to train for the 1040 mile ride

Join us for what promises to be an inspiring and entertaining evening about Steve's LEJOG adventures through inclement Scottish weather, broken bikes and 12 days in close proximity to his brother's backside;  We'll also hear about Steve's personal journey of coming to terms with losing his sight  and the positive impact that cycling has had on his life.

Steve will be speaking in aid of Life Cycle UK, with all proceeds from ticket sales going to support our Inclusive Cycling projects.

Roll for the Soul will be serving food before the talk, so come along early if you would like to eat. Bar closes at 10pm

please note: unfortunately there is no wheelchair access to Roll for the Soul
