SELF LED RIDE: British Cycling - Bridge to Chepstow (31 miles)

A largely flat country ride from Blaise Castle, over the Severn Bridge and into Chepstow where we will stop for coffee (or tea), cake (or bacon roll) and chat before returning to Bristol. This is an inclusive social ride emphasising the social, stress-free aspects of cycling. It will go at a pace that is comfortable for all and no-one will be left behind. As a guide, however, you should be able to average 12 mph+ on the flat over 30 miles. This self-led ride is with British Cyclings 'Let's Ride' ride leader, Iain.

To book:

Life Cycle UK's Bike Minded project brings the benefits of cycling to adults in Bristol wishing to improve or maintain their physical and emotional well-being.

Please note that all Finish Times listed are approximate and may vary.

These are informal friendly rides, organised outside of Life Cycle by individuals.

Recommend you bring:

  • A bike in good working order
  • spare inner tube for your bike
  • bike lock
  • snack / water / money for refreshments
  • clothing suitable for the weather

If your bike has a mechanical issue that the group can’t fix, you’ll need a backup plan, eg friend or family member able to come pick you and your bike up, alternatively bring a lock and be prepared to walk and bus home.

PLEASE NOTE: As a self-led ride, this is not a Life Cycle/Bike Minded ride and therefore not covered by our insurance etc.
