Bike Sales - Bristol

Black road bike leaning against a white brick wall

We sell affordable, refurbished bikes for adults in a range of styles, makes and sizes. Our bikes are sourced through our "Bike Back" project, which trains prisoners as bike mechanics so they can build a brighter future after release. All bikes are fixed to run 'better than new' - and get a full safety-check by our qualified mechanics before sale. During COVID-19, most bike sales are being made via eBay, with collection from our Bristol-based workshop.

We are still open during lockdown for sales and donations!

Where do I collect my bike?

Bike Back Bristol: 19 Cambridge Road, Bristol, BS7 8PS.

Our workshop is based in the car park of Bristol prison. The prison car park is often full so we recommend parking in the residential rounds around the prison. Enter the prison car park, turn right and our workshop is at the far end of the car park through the high silver gates with a wheel on. Click here to find Bike Back Bristol on Google maps

For safety reasons during the COVID-19 outbreak, please leave donated bikes outside our blue shutters. You can do this at any time with no need to call ahead.

How does the collection system work?

  1. Visit our eBay store, choose your bike and pay for it online.
  2. We will contact you via eBay to arrange an appointment for collection. Please do not come to the workshop without an appointment.
  3. We will help set your bike up for your height then you can “test ride” it around the car park. When you are happy, it's all yours!

What if I arrive and the bike isn’t right for me?

Please lock the bike up securely and then contact us through eBay to explain the issue. We will issue you a full refund.

What if I arrive and there is something wrong with the bike?

Please lock the bike up securely and then contact us through eBay to explain what you think is wrong. We will either:

a) Fix the bike as soon as possible and email you with another collection window.
b) Issue you with a full refund – you are welcome to purchase another bike online.

What happens if I can no longer make my collection day?

Please contact us via eBay as soon as possible and let us know. We will arrange another collection date.

Can I just turn up to buy or collect a bike?

We are now open for walk-ins, however, you must call the workshop first to check stock. Please only call us on 07920 635899 between 9:30 am and 5:30 pm Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Our opening hours are 9:30 am - 5:30 pm, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Please always call ahead before dropping by.

Refurbished stock is currently quite low, but we do have some new bikes available. For safety reasons, customers collecting a bike purchased from eBay should not turn up outside their agreed collection window. To protect our staff and other customers, we reserve the right to turn away anyone who does this.

Is it safe to collect my bike?

Our primary focus is to protect the health of our staff and customers. Our staff are following Government guidelines, including strict cleaning and social distancing measures. All bikes are handled with gloves and will be fully disinfected before being locked up for collection. We are confident that providing collection windows will reduce the chances of customers coming into contact with anybody else. If someone else is collecting their bike when you arrive, please keep a safe distance of at least two meters at all times.

Help us stay safe: Please follow all instructions.

What happens if something goes wrong after I take the bike away?

We have a 30 day, no quibble guarantee. Please contact us via eBay as soon as you notice the problem and we will either:

  1. Arrange to fix your bike for you.
  2. Give you a full refund upon the return of the bike.

How do I get in touch?

If you need to get in contact about a bike you've purchased on eBay, please do so via the "contact seller" option on eBay. If you would like to contact us about stock availability, please call the workshop on 07920 635899 between 9:30 am and 5:30 pm Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. We will do our best to answer the phone, but if you leave a message we will get back to you.
