Meet the Team - Frances McMillan

How are you connected to Life Cycle?

I'm the cycle training and Take a Stand co-ordinator.

What's your earliest cycling memory?

Following a group of older children quite far from home on my tricycle with the burgundy seat, then my dad roaring up in the car and throwing the trike in the boot and me into the back seat - boy was I in trouble!

What was your first bike?

After the aforementioned trike episode it was quite a while before I was allowed two wheels - I had a hand me down bright yellow bike from my cousin - very big and heavy I recall.

What would your dream bike be?

A hover bike, because I'm lazy!

What are your favourite cycling routes in Bristol/UK?

I love the Bristol-Bath cycle path, we live in South Glous and that's our family cycle route.

How long does it take you to fix a puncture?

Depends how close I am to a bike shop!

If you could wave a magic wand, and make something better about cycling, what would it be?

Waterproof trousers that don't make you look like a sack of spuds!

Who would your ideal tandem partner be?

Got to be someone stronger than me (remember I'm lazy!) and with a good sense of direction - Michael Palin so he could give a travel log commentary on the route.

What's your favourite pre/post cycling food?

Pasta and cider (cider is a food, right?)

What's your best cycling related joke?
