Life Cycle UK General Election “Cycling and Active Transport Hustings”

Life Cycle UK will host a General Election Cycle Hustings in Bristol

Life Cycle UK held a “Cycle and Active Travel Hustings” between Bristol’s parliamentary candidates to assess their positions on cycling and sustainable transport in Bristol, on Tuesday 21st April – attendance is free.

Candidates from all major parties have confirmed their attendance, including: Thangam Debbonnaire (Labour candidate, Bristol West); Darren Hall (Green candidate, Bristol West); Claire Hiscott (Conservative candidate, Bristol West), Mark Wright (Liberal Democrat candidate, Bristol South) and an as yet unspecified candidate from UKIP.

Journalist, broadcaster, author and cyclist Rob Penn has agreed to chair the discussions.

The Hustings will take place on Tuesday 21st April, from 7pm - 9pm at TLT Solicitors’ office, 1 Redcliff Street, Bristol BS1 6TP. Attendance is free – although you must book your space.

Candidates have also been invited to complete a brief questionnaire outlining their position on sustainable transport – responses are available to view on the Life Cycle UK website.

Candidate wishing to appear on the panel?

We are discussing our criteria for including candidates on the panel at the moment. We have decided to set a deadline for accepting candidates of 5pm Friday 10th  April. If you think you should be included, please get in touch

 

Obviously all candidates are invited to complete the questionnaire which we will publish (and which will reach far more people!)
