We’re really proud to unveil our new 3D display in the window of “Future Leap” - the Future Economy Network’s Sustainability Hub on Bristol’s famous Gloucester Road. Our very own Craig (who as well as being a member of our “Bike Back” team, is also a talented designer) has produced an engaging board game to explain the work we do with prisoners, the benefits it brings to them and our offer to the wider community.
The display will be in the window of Future Leap during September and October – and features a walk-in format where you can learn more about the other work we do. Future Leap has recently re-opened and provides co-working and office space, plus an excellent café and other resources to help organisations work more sustainably. We’d recommend grabbing a cup of your favourite drink and taking some time to browse the exhibition space - which not only features our display, but a host of other offers from local environmental and sustainability organisations. They also have a lovely sustainable gift shop!
As much as we love our bike workshop in the car park of Horfield prison, it is rather hidden away and doesn’t benefit from the same footfall a high street bike workshop would enjoy. So it goes without saying that we are really excited to be appearing in a shop window on buzzing Gloucester Road! Huge thanks to Craig for his fantastic designs, Bristol Wood Recycling Project for the frame, and our mechanic Emma for putting it all together. Do come and check out our display!
