Volunteer For Us

Volunteering with Life Cycle UK is a great way to develop your skills, meet new people and work as part of an enthusiastic team. We have over 50 regular volunteers who make a huge contribution to our work every year, and we simply would not be able to continue much of our work without them.

If you are passionate about getting more people cycling, able to help fix bikes to a high standard or able to support some of our group ride activities, then please consider volunteering for us.

Here’s how you can help:

  • Volunteer to help with our organised rides
  • Raise funds and awareness in your area
  • Join our team as an intern
  • Help out at our events
  • Drive or lend us a van for a day

If you are interested in helping in anyway possible then send us an email and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Current opportunities:

Cycle Support Volunteers for Inclusive Cycling Projects- Bike Minded and Over 55s

Are you an experienced and enthusiastic cyclist? Do you enjoy supporting others?

We are looking for friendly, confident cyclists to join our team of group ride volunteers, supporting our mental well-being and Over 55s cycling projects in the Bristol area.

Both groups put on group cycle rides for varying abilities- from gentle rides of a few miles to more challenging rides of up to 35 miles. Rides take place on weekdays and weekends and are friendly and sociable. We also run a programme of nature rides for both groups supported by Bristol Green Capital.

You are welcome to choose to support either or both projects after completing the training. For further information or to apply, please read our application form

Volunteer Bike Mechanics to help with Bike Back Bristol

We are looking for volunteer bike mechanics who can give up half a day a week on a regular basis to help with our bike recycling project at Bristol Prison. Click the link above to find out more...

Volunteer Bike Mechanic(s) to help fix up kid's bikes in Bristol

We need one or more volunteer mechanics to help fix up kid's bikes for a Family Cycling Project we are running. The mechanic needs to be able to run more or less without support (i.e. we cannot provide training). The bikes are required for 'Kid's bike swaps' - in which we have a number of refurbished kid's bikes done up to a standard where they are ready to be traded or  sold. It is a great way to keep the kid's cycling. If this is something that interests you, please get in touch.
