Roadshows and information stalls
Life Cycle can help your organisation get more people travelling by bike. Lots of people are willing to give cycling a try, but they are uncertain how to get started, what sort of bike to buy, how to prepare for a commuter trip, or how to find the best route. We provide answers to these concerns and give people the encouragement and the practical help that they need.
Over the years Life Cycle has visited hundreds of businesses, hospitals, universities, colleges and community events and talked to thousands of people. And, for many of them, the prospect of cycling to work (which might have seemed an impossible challenge) has been made easy and enjoyable.
For organisations in Bristol, or within easy travelling distance, we offer:
Information stall
We'll set up a stall in a prominent location (the company restaurant is a favourite position!) and we'll give out cycling literature including free maps and guides. Our outreach workers are friendly folk who are happy to chat, to answer people's cycling-related questions and to provide them with up-to-date information and sound advice. An information stall is yours for just £29 (or we sometimes do them for free!) To make a booking simply give the office a ring.
Roadshow
A Life Cycle Roadshow is an interactive presentation and discussion aimed at those people who are tempted to give cycling a try but who have concerns about issues such as traffic, finding the best route, having luggage to carry, coping with mechanical problems or any one of a hundred other things. The Roadshow begins with a PowerPoint presentation about the benefits of cycling: how it will save you money, how it will improve your health and fitness, and how it will reduce your carbon footprint. It then moves on to look at the worries and concerns that might be holding people back, and we offer simple, practical, effective solutions to every problem. Does it work? Well, here's what one satisfied client told us:
"Thanks for yesterday's Life Cycle Roadshow. We had a good turn out and we felt is was very successful. One of my colleagues went home and got her bike out of the garage to ride around the block, having not used it for years! A number of others are looking into buying bikes and booking cycle training lessons. Next thing will be to book a Doctor Bike session to encourage those with rusty old bikes to bring them in and get them fixed!"
A Life Cycle Roadshow costs £49. Click here to download a booking pack pack or simply give us a ring.
