Life Cycle UK runs regular training courses for children aged 8 to 11 to help them develop essential skills and confidence.
We work with groups of five (occasionally six) children at a time. Our course begins with a cycle safety check to ensure that the children's bikes are roadworthy. Then, we run three two-hour sessions on local roads. The children learn how to control their bikes, how to anticipate other road users' behaviour, and how to perform a range of manoeuvres safely and confidently.
All of Life Cycle's instructors are trained to National Standard and are CRB cleared. We also have a friendly admin team on hand to guide the school through the process of setting up a course. We're flexible about numbers too: the minimum number of children we need to run a course is just five. And there's no upper limit: 10, 20, 50, 100... you name it. As long as it's a multiple of five, we can run a course for you!
"Transferring our cycle training to Life Cycle has been really good, it's easy to organise with much less worry than when we ran it ourselves." Frampton Cotterell School, South Gloucestershire.
