Keep in Touch!
Over 100 people attend the joint hustings meeting organised by Life Cycle, along with the Bristol Cycling Campaign and Sustrans.
The meeting heard Marvin Rees (Labour), George Ferguson (Bristol First), Jon Rogers (LibDem), Geoff Gollop (Conservative), Daniella Radice (Green), and Neil Maggs (Respect) give their views on a range of cycling issues raised by the audience on the night.
Topics covered included cycle training, cycling infrastructure, the Living Heart campaign, engaging and involving the cycling community, cycle safety, and much much more. Life Cycle would like to thank the candidates for giving up their time to attend, and also for their generally positive responses to cycling.
Poppy Brett, Director of Life Cycle commented,
“It was a very interesting evening, and a real opportunity to get a measure of the candidates; their level of understanding of Bristol’s transport issues; and their commitment to creating a sustainable travel system for our city.”
We would also like to thank the audience for showing up, and Burges Salmon for their generous support.
Now we all need to see the mayor deliver a real cycling city.
