Jake and Pete at Jakes bikes with some of the thousands of bike stands supplied by Life Cycle UK.
Life Cycle provides free cycle parking under our Take a Stand scheme. Voluntary sector groups, schools, small businesses, churches and surgeries, in fact almost any type of organisation, are welcome to apply! Good cycle parking tells the world that you're an environmentally-friendly organisation and it's a proven way of deterring cycle theft.
The number of stands on offer varies according to the local authority area in which you're based.
- Bath & North East Somerset
- Gloucestershire
- Somerset
- Swindon
Up to two stands - that's parking for four bikes - are available to organisations located in the above areas. You must install the stands on your own property (you can't dig up the pavement!) in a location agreed with Life Cycle UK. To apply for a pair of stands please download an application form.
- Bristol
- South Gloucestershire
- North Somerset
Organisations based in Bristol, North Somerset or in South Gloucestershire are eligible for up to four stands free of charge! You must install the stands on your own property (you can't dig up the pavement!) in a location agreed with Life Cycle UK. To apply please download the Bristol, North Somerset and South Glos application form.
The Take a Stand scheme is supported by the various local authorities that cover the above areas. Life Cycle is pleased to be working in partnership with them.
Other types of cycle stand are also available. Please visit our Resource Centre to see the range and to order online.
What people say! Murrays of Clevedon

Paul Threasher one of our chefs is in the picture.
Paul says 'The bike stands allow us to cycle to work
in the knowledge that when unattended they are
secure.Although most of the staff live within a 4 mile
radius of Murrays it is not unusual to find 9 or 10
bikes tethered in the courtyard. 9 or 10 cars off the
road! Thank you Lifecycle. - Related Events
